Sixth Sense
I like this movie because I think the director was brillant with his screenplay. Just an ordinary story told in an extraordinary way.

Yes, Melanie, you are the first South African visitor. Claudia posted from New Zealand so you are both pretty far away from the Eastern United States. Thanks for visiting.

Thanks, jms for that story about "All That Jazz." I had a similar experience when I saw Bob Fosse's film, "Lenny." The people behind us had NO CLUE what was going on. I'm sure Bob Fosse would have enjoyed hearing both of these stories.

You have created a very fun site! Turns out your two top movies are two of my favorites, too, but my ALL-TIME FAVORITE MOVIE is Casablanca. I've seen it so many times I practically have every word of dialog memorized. It's just the best movie I've ever seen. Short anecdote: When I saw All That Jazz in the theater, there were two older women sitting behind me who couldn't figure out the movie. One of them asked who the lady in the white dress was that Roy Schieder kept talking to, and her friend answered, "I think it's his ex-wife." It was hilarious.

I'm horrible at making lists (my mind goes absolutely and literally blank), so I'll say Mission Impossible has to be my favorite. I love that movie.

I can only think of 2 films right now that I would consider favorites. One is "Easy Rider". I saw that in college and it really had an impact on me. The other is "Little Big Man". Dustin Hoffman was great in that.

Well done, Keyser!

It would take me awhile to compile a list of my favorites - there are just way to many. But here's my top three (very similar to yours, Clods!):
1) Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Medieval/Arthurian/Renaissance is my favorite film genre)
2) Truly, Madly, Deeply (the sweetest ghost I ever saw. Gets me every time)
3) Closet Land (totally changed my life)

Love the sound files, BTW. :-)

I came over from the Rickman GB and just had to post. I got a kick out of you including Phantom of the Paradise on your favorites list. I was just thinking about that film the other day while watching a film on cable called Candy, another "psycho-delic" kinda film (written by Buck Henry!)Also, Blazing Saddles is a household fave around here. I'll spare you the back story, but Blazing Saddles is actually a Thanksgiving tradition here at our house. That not withstanding, my top faves are:
The Princess Bride
Jaws Some
Like it Hot
The Ruling Class

Congrats on your new website!
