Mike Nichols is one of my favorite directors.  He was presented with the Academy Award for Best Director for The Graduate.

I saw Catch-22 for the first time in my freshman year of college.  It was included as part of a class called, "Novels Into Film."  We read the book first and then viewed the film.  I was amazed at how Mr. Nichols captured the spirit of the book.

Truly a great cast.  Everybody did a great job in their roles but I am most fond of Bob Balaban as Captian Orr.  He exhibited such sweetness in his alleged madness.
