| When I got carried away
and starting adding films to my original list, I knew I wanted to
add at least one of Gene Kelly's films. I couldn't decide
between Singin' in the Rain AND An
American in Paris, so I just added both.
Directed by Vincente Minnelli, the
film was award the Best Picture Academy Award for1952, as well as
Best Screenplay, Best Art Direction, Best Color Cinematography,
Best Costume Design, and Best Musical Score.
The American in Paris ballet is
just amazing.
