| These films are not
necessarily the best films ever made, they're just my favorite
films. The Usual Suspects and All That Jazz are in rows by themselves because they are my first and
second favorite films. The other eighteen are listed in
alphabetical order.
I chose films that:
- I saw in the cinema more than
once;
- I bought as soon as possible when they
became available on video;
- I couldn't stop thinking about them for
days after I saw them, especially those that contained plot twists
that surprised me;
- when I'm channel surfing and run
across this film airing, I'll almost always stop and watch it;
and
- I would go to see on the big screen in
the cinema even though it's available on video.
Each title links to a page about that
film that contains an image of the video cover, a sound from the
film, a link to the film in the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), links
to other websites related to the film, and a short explanation
concerning the reason it is included on my list.
Each page contains a link back to this
home page, a link to the US location of the IMDB and a link to a page where you
can submit your list of up to ten favorite films (sorry, this feature is
currently unavailable, we hope to provide this feature again soon).
As I began this project, I realized that
narrowing down my top favorite films to a list of only twenty was
very difficult. The more research I did, the more films I
found I wanted to include on the list.
